Objectives


AAQ's objectives include:

  • Rescue animals from restrictive, cruel environments, provide aid and veterinary treatment to any animal suffering and in pain.
  • Expose cruelty in QLD animal industries which is ignored by QLD animal protection groups
  • Pressure governments to develop legislation that protects all animals equally
  • Work pro actively and collaboratively with others
  • Value input from all people with an emphasis on individual skills and diversity
  • Co-ordination of protests in conjunction with national and international campaigns and independently
  • Provide educational workshops to interested groups
  • Advance the Humane society’s `First Strike Program’

    Report Animal Abuse
    If you see cruelty - report it.  The RSPCA states that they will only investigate a farm/circus/rodeo/ekka or other animal related event if visitors complain.  Don't just get angry, get active!

    Cruelty to animals is often a sign that  domestic violence is occurring in a family.  Report domestic violence and animal cruelty to police.
