Come join an afternoon of fun, friends and good food as we celebrate World Vegan Day in Brisbane!

Vegan, vegetarian or simply interested? come along...

This is the second annual Brisbane WVD celebration, following last year's event that saw a great turnout from the local community.

Bring the family along for a free afternoon vegan feast, fun & games, and live performances by local performance artists, Indian/Arabic fusion dance and a fire show finale by vegan performance group, the Carnival of the Divine Imagination!

What to Bring

• Bring an appetite!
• Bring yourself, your friends, pets and family
• Bring a hat and some water (shade is available but it may be hot!)
• Bring your favourite vegan recipe to share
• Bring along toys or outdoor activities
• Bring along drums or any musical instruments

What's Happening?

3PM: Meet & Greet / Play in the park
4PM - 6PM: free (by donation) vegan feast
6PM - 7PM: live performances in the park

Information tables, cruelty free product displays and vegan food will be available all afternoon. Come and try some new vegan treats and learn about cruelty free living in Brisbane!

Getting there

Orleigh park is right on the river in West End. There is a ferry terminal and bus stop in the park. There is also plenty of parking on Orleigh Street, West End.
By Train/Bus: There aren't any train stations in West End but you can catch a train to "South Brisbane" station then get off and get a bus (190) at the Cultural Centre going to "West End Ferry" and it will take you directly to Orleigh park as the ferry stop is right at the park.
By Ferry: The West End CityCat ferry stop is right at Orleigh Park.

NEW! Buy online and support the fight against animal cruelty!

Buy Cruelty Free
Many household items are tested on animals. Animals die painfully every day through cruel animal tests for chemicals, household cleaning products, cosmetics and more.

Luckily, there are a many household products on the market found in most supermarkets that are free from animal testing. Animal Test-Free products are easily identifiable* and are often more friendly on the environment (due to ethically conscious producers). Read the fine print and buy cruelty free!

*Products that ARE tested on animals will not indicate so on the packaging. Refer to our list, rely on confirmation of animal test-free product packaging, or contact the manufacturer..
